Temporary (Employer Sponsored)
The Skills in Demand (SID) visa (subclass 482) replaced the Temporary Skill Shortage (TSS) visa on December 7, 2024. It allows Australian employers to sponsor skilled workers from overseas when suitable Australian workers are unavailable. The visa offers improved pathways to permanent residence.

From AUD $1,455 (short-term) to $3,115 (medium-term/labour agreement) + $3,115 per adult dependent + $780 per child | Employer costs: $330 nomination + $420 sponsorship + SAF levy ($1,200-$1,800 per year)
